Art Residency for Photographers

Art Residency in Landskrona, Sweden. Open subscriptions until the 15th of January.

Landskrona Foto and Fröfabriken Creative Space seek to initiate a residency program for fine-art photography beginning in the Spring of 2016. Artists looking for a new stimulating working environment are encouraged to apply.

The program’s scope for this year is the city’s district Öster, a socioeconomically diverse neighborhood currently undergoing modernization.

The residency program provides accepted artists with a space to cultivate their creative process in an environment rich in cultural resources and discourse.

Landskrona Foto has in recent years been established as one of the Nordic regions’ eminent photography initiatives and encompasses the renowned Landskrona Foto Festival and the first Swedish historical photo exhibition. Landskrona Foto is an ongoing project seeking to develop a hub for the art of photography.

Fröfabriken Creative Space is a new collaborative platform for art, production and meetings. It is situated in a former seed plant in Landskrona. 1600 sqm have been remodeled to accommodate artists’ and photographers’ specific workspace needs. Today there are 13 ateliérs, one photo studio and a multi-use hall for meetings, events, and group activities.

The artists, photographers and designers in Fröfabriken welcome participants of the residency program into a stimulating environment with access to local and global networks within the artistic and photographic industries.
